After two months, the job ad is still turning up in Jobstreet and JobsDB. I was quite positive about the job scopes, the interviews and outcome. The only deterrent is the long probationary period and they are not flexible about it.
Anyway, it will be hard to find someone during this time. Most people, like myself will be reluctant to give up our bonuses for 6 months of probation. If the salary is higher than what I am getting now, with 3 months probation I would have jumped ship.
Reason for lack of updates – I am swamped with work.
Building a few websites at one go is killing me. The amount of technical issues are horrendous, and do those people care? They think they have an entire department to do the job for them. In reality, that “entire department” is just me. One person, one PC and a pair of hands.
I told myself this is the last time I’m going to do this. If they cannot with me a good reward by year end and still don’t want to hire a junior staff, these websites are gonna be my latest portfolio. I am going to job interviews to demand higher pay.
