Recently I had to solve some server issues when setting up wordpress for a client. He has a Windows hosting package. Pretty permalinks don’t work on IIS.
After several correspondence with the hosting company, I had given up on them. In the last email I was told to check WP Codex.
If it was something I can do on the codes, I would have done it. Obviously it was something beyond my control like server configuration.
