This is one of the most expensive purchase of the year, the other being my car which I bought 2nd hand but still expensive.

The iPad is possibly the best invention for the year. I don’t like to do too much with my handphone, so getting an iPhone 4 for the same price is not my choice. A phone is just a phone and I want to make calls, pick up calls and send sms with it.

With the iPad, I can manage my time better. I only use it when I’m not working. It is mainly for casual surfing, reading and playing some games. It is handy and convenient. That means I can multitask and achieve more since I am not confined to a chair. Yeah… that is what I hate most. Being jailed onto a chair in office is bad enough. I don’t need that when I’m home.

Before the iPad came along, I hate turning on my PC when I get home. The idea of sitting in front of a machine was killing me. I didn’t want to carry my notebook and boot it up in front of the TV also because it is so much hassle.

I love the iPad. It’s a lot of money spent but it’s a good buy. I have tried it on the move too by using Digi Prepaid Internet. It is great. I’m happy with not being tied to any data package. Every top up of RM10 gives me 5 days unlimited internet access. The sim doesn’t expire until after 3 months. Most of the time I’m on WiFi at home, but I do bring it out occasionally. By keeping a top up reload handy is all I need. The service comes almost immediately after reload.
