5 good things today
Can I list down 5 good things that happen in my life today? 5 is so little!
Well, if I can name 5 today, perhaps I can name more in the days to come. Just trying to look at the positive things instead of the negative ones. I have a long list of negative things in my life; things I cannot get rid of in my life due to responsibilities and survival.
The list is on-going. I hope to achieve what I set out to do by the end of the day.
Here’s the list for today:
1. The screen did not fail on me the moment I walk into the office lobby.
2. There was no nasty email when I switch on my computer at work.
3. Traffic was clear after work. No jam in the car park.
4. Finished 2 designs for the website I have dreaded to work on. The design turned out good.
5. Had a good time watching tv with bf. At least he did not fall asleep on the sofa. Sofa is too comfy according to him.
There you go, the 5 good things which happened to me today.
Pearl milk tea and job hunting
It’s been a while since I last indulged in food other than my meals. I was very busy the past week. Actually I was attending job interviews and went for my second interview while running a fever. I feel like giving myself a little reward for the hard work I put in.

The milk tea is so so only. I don’t think I will buy again.
Back to the job…
It is highly unlikely I will be leaving my current job. Why do companies think they can pay so low for people with experience and skills they’re looking for? Why do HR treat every new recruit like a fresh grad? 6 months probation? 16 days annual leave pro-rate to 8 days?
I don’t fancy the points or products by the way. If they’re so concern about getting good people, they should make people feel they’re valued. Not by imposing rules that is only beneficial for the company. It should be fair for both parties.
All I want is fair salary, shorter probation period and give me all my leave even though I join in the middle of the year. I am not someone who take advantage of employee benefits, I carry forward my entire year of leave for the past 2 years and I now have 17 days per annum, I also have proof that I got 3 months bonus based on my performance for the past year in my current job. I will not give up my job for 6 months of uncertainty.
