My daily ritual in office

Besides work, what else do people do in office? Some people like to chat on the phone with colleagues or exchange gossips in the pantry, making drinks, snacking etc.

My daily ritual in the office includes:

1. Checking updates on FB and Twitter.
2. Keeping my Google Reader open at all times to read blog updates and RSS feeds from job sites.
3. Take a multivitamin pill between 10am-11am.
4. Make a drink of Milo with milk because I’ll be hungry by 11.30am. Plus, I just want to finish a can of goat’s milk I bought couple of months back.
5. Run errands or shopping during lunch time.
5. Make green tea after lunch.
6. Take vitamin C in the afternoon between 4pm-5pm.
7. After work I run errands too if there is any.

That’s about all.

I had made taking vitamins and drinking milk as part of the office ritual because that gives me something to feel good about myself.

In actual fact, I hardly have time to do this at home because I don’t like the idea of mixing coffee with vitamins in the morning. By the time I got home, it will be rather late to take vitamins because I am not drinking as much water was I do during office hours.

The only thing lacking is physical fitness ritual. I wish I can have a 1-hour slot during working hours to go to the gym. I will be a happier worker if I can work out for 30 minutes before lunch time. If only we can have some flexibility in terms of time management. We’re grown ups! Right now I feel like a school girl waiting for the school bell to ring everyday.

Finally it’s up!

Glad the site came back up.
I’ve actually forgotten what I want to blog about.

A recap on the recent public holidays:
1. I did not take any extra day off.
2. Did some shopping and spend quite a bit.
3. Haven’t been to library or gym. Too many shoppers/holidaymakers made me feel depressed at work.
4. Been sleeping yet failed to wake up on work days. Whenever I don’t have to work, I wake up at 7am.

The conclusion is I hate to be seated here, staring at computer all day long. I can finish my work fast and well, I should be given some form of freedom in my job because half the time I’m surfing the internet at work.

If I can go to the gym, the company will have a healthier employee, although I hardly take any sick leave.
If I can go to the library, the company will have an employee who is well read and constantly learning new skills, since we cut training budget, can’t claim books or internet/data packages.
If I can go home, I will be well rested and won’t suffer from “panda eyes” and shoulder pain.

Overall, I will be happy and it is important to bring good vibes into the work environment. Ever heard of “The Secret – the law of attraction”?

I love my job, I generally loves working. I think I will go nuts one day if I feel like I’m in jail everyday.
