Income Survey

Can you also include overall salary survey for various industries and jobs at the same time? Are people being paid adequately? Can you do something to the value of our salaries? Our sisters and brothers in Singapore can have a cup of Starbucks for 5 dollars, why are we paying 10 dollars for ours when our salary figure is the same?

Income survey next month (NST – 30 March 2009)

KUALA LUMPUR: The Statistics Department will conduct an integrated household income and expenditure survey beginning next month.
The aim of the survey is to gather information on the level and pattern of expenditure by households on various goods and services.

The department said the information would be the basis to ascertain the type of goods and services which should be included in the calculation of the consumer price index. Field officers will interview selected households.

Can your CPI make my coffee cost 5 dollars a cup?
