Blueberry cupcakes

The berries are here since last month I think. There are strawberries, blueberries and cherries in supermarkets. Prices have come down and we can enjoy some of these “luxurious” fruits.

Last week I bought a packet of fresh blueberries. Pair them with cream cheese, I made 12 blueberry cupcakes for Father’s Day.

A packet is just nice to make 12 cupcakes with blueberry fillings and topped with fresh blueberries. For the cream cheese topping, I used half a packet of Tatura cream cheese.

They are yummy.

What a break!?

How did you spend your Labour Day long weekend?

I wish I can be away for some holiday. It was the total opposite for me.

On Thursday I was given some last minute urgent assignment by the boss. There I was working late in the office. I couldn’t stay for long because the aircon shut down. At that time I was actually trying to copy a lot of files into my portable hard disk so that I could complete the work at home.

1st of May, I was working at 12am and was uploading the files. It took hours and hours. Slept for 5 hours, I had to follow my parents to Nirvana in the morning. I took a nap in the afternoon and calls from my boss started to come in the evening. Lets just say that he was away and did not bring his notebook along. In the end, he gave my number to our director who requested for the presentation.

The next few days I was living in uncertainties. Do I go out? Am I suppose to wait for him to call? What if he calls and I am not with my computer? Did not get any calls in the end but I was prepared to go into the office early on Monday.

My only “day off” was Sunday when the bf and I made plans to have lunch at Rakuzen. I was happy that he made an effort to wake up. It was a nice drive down town. We parked at Chulan Square at RM3 per entry. There were trees lining the car park giving shade. This is a good place to park if I want to go to Pavilion on a Sunday.

We accidentally ordered too much sushi. Big mistake! The All-You-Can-Eat buffet is priced at RM55++ per adult. The food is freshly prepared. However I find that it lacks variety. We chose Rakuzen after we heard some horror stories about food poisoning in another buffet join.

After lunch we walked over the Pavilion and caught a movie.

I wasn’t feeling that well but decided to go ahead with our plans because a weekend like this is hard to come by for me. Classes took up most of my weekends but I’m thankful for the extra income. It helps make my life a bit easier though I still hope to make more money.
