Braggers

Do women like to brag generally? Why do they do it?

If the office is made up of women in majority, I can understand the need to brag about their weekends and the constant need to out dress one another.

What about in a department which is made up of mostly men colleagues?

Every Monday I am bombarded with 2 female voices telling each other their “fabulous” weekends. I’m not interested to know and none of the guys in this office bothers but we are forced to listen to it. You know what I mean?

Conversations between 2 people need not be an announcement, especially when it is non work related.

Anyway, this two females are always going out for concerts, good food and shopping. I know exactly where they’ve been, what they’ve eaten and what have they bought.

I don’t know if they are secretly trying to out do each other. They like to call each other sisters, sharing secrets or gossips (when they whispers)… just like those fake girls trying to act nice and cute. This behavior are meant for high schoolers and college kids.

Honestly, I don’t give a hoot. It is just so annoying with the noise going around when I am trying to work.

All must go

I am in the midst of clearing my books, mostly fictional paperbacks which I know I will not read again.

The thing that got me started is when I saw someone looking for some not so popular books. So happen I have one of the books he is looking for. I forgot how much I bought the book for because I bought it second hand too. However, the book is still in good condition, so I offer the guy a good price.

After that another girl messaged me about a Sophie Kinsella book she is looking for. I had mentioned it on the forum I have two books by the author. So I sold it to her. The price is cheap for book in very good condition because I have only read it once.

Sold Books

For this exercise, I’ve compiled a booklist with pricing and I hope to clear off some books. I will only buy very good books like my hard cover Angels and Demons or Da Vinci Code. I borrow books from the library and am loving this because it does not create clutter in my room.

I also want to sell 12 issues of 2009 “Cheers“. It is a Taiwanese Magazine that is focusing on career and business. Sin Chew features their articles in their lifestyle pull-out every Monday. If you’re interested in this magazine, please take all at RM50.
